Newly built in 2001, and refurbished in 2006, the MV Casanova is deluxe, carrying 96 passengers in 48 cabins. She is distinguished by staterooms on her upper deck featuring full-length French doors, which can be opened (cabins on the lower deck have large windows). Original works of art can be found throughout the vessel. All double cabins are identical in size and are beautifully appointed with built-in closets, desk, shower and toilet, television, telephone and 4 channel radio. Hairdryer and terry robes are available upon request. Bedding is European style duvets with feather pillows and eiderdowns (synthetic materials available upon request).
The vessel features six meals daily (Breakfast, Morning Bouillon, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner and Midnight Snack). All meals are single seating with evening meals up to nine courses on selected nights. Additionally, there is a bar, Panorama Restaurant, lounge as well as an infirmary with a qualified doctor on board. The Sun deck offers plenty of deck chairs and blankets, if needed. Captain's Welcome and Captain's Farewell Receptions are provided as well as nightly entertainment and dancing. There is one crew member for every 2.5 passengers providing about the best crew to passenger ratio of any river vessel. This allows for a high level of service as well as sumptuous meals, served course by course for the evening dinner. English language announcements, menus and daily programs are provided.

Peter Deilmann Casanova Review
Casanova was built in 2001 for cruises on Italy's Po River, where ships must be able to cruise under low bridges and fit comfortably in narrow, shallow canals. As a result, it's smaller than many ships that cruise Central European waters, with a length of 338 feet and a beam of 32 feet, or 103 m by 9,70 m. The ship could be described as a "boutique vessel," since it accommodates only 96 passengers.
Most public rooms are on the Verdi deck, or main deck, which also has 26 of the the ship's 48 passenger cabins. Read More When ready to book complete the form in the next box for our discounted rates.

*Additional port fees per person apply to all 2009 bookings; 5-nights/$90, 7-nights/$120, 10/11-nights/$165, 14-nights/$195. Shore excursions are not included in the cruise fare and are optional at an additional cost. Fuel surcharge: $10 per person, per night.
With the decrease in the value of the dollar and the high price of fuel the cost of hotels and meals have doubled in European during the last three years. Savy travelers have come to understand that a river cruise offers the best value for a European Vacation. Accommodations, all meals on board and shore excursions are included in the price and some companies even include wine with dinner. Because of this, you do not have to live in fear of the $300 per night hotel bill, the $100 not so wonderful restaurant meal and the $10 cup of coffee with no free refills.
Many people believe that by dealing directly with the cruise line, they cut out the expense of a middleman. But when it comes to cruising, this is never the case. The cruise lines depend on travel agents to sell their product, and so it is the cruise lines who pay the agent's commission, not the customer. The lines also offer agents various extra incentives, bonus commissions and value-added perks, giving the travel agents more pricing leverage and the ability for us to offer you lower rates: There are many superb and well-trained travel agents, but there are not many who know as much as we do about river cruising.
